Her story
DR. BRENDA ALTON is a compassionate and empathetic leader who excels in creating a safe and supportive environment. Brenda is known for her ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued. She is keen on offering practical solutions and has a natural gift for coaching and mentoring. Brenda's influence has significantly improved team communication and culture, and her wisdom and guidance are highly appreciated by colleagues. Dr. Brenda is a Kingdom-minded spiritual leader with administration and leadership acumen for nonprofit and public sectors. She speaks regularly internationally as a respected preacher, prophetic voice, and leadership consultant.
She is best known as a servant leader, a prayer warrior, a woman of faith, and a champion of perseverance. Her teaching motivates individuals and leaders of churches and businesses to excel and apprehend their best. Her strong compassion for transformation comes through her incredible life’s journey, which she contributes as the hands that have molded her into the person she is today. She lives with her husband, Tom, in Pennsylvania.
As a person of faith and an ordained minister: She founded Kingdom Embassy formerly known as Harambee United Church of Christ (15 years as Senior Pastor), Holistic Hands Community Development Corporation (President), Teaching Teachers’ Bible Institute, Sweet Love of Jesus Ministries and she was the first female president of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Conference of Greater Harrisburg, served in the Office of the Mayor for the City of Harrisburg, and pursued the Office of Lieutenant Governor, Commonwealth of PA (2014); a contributor for SUAVV Magazine, the Urban Connection, and Woman Connect Magazine. Apostle Brenda is a member of the Kingdom of Priest Covenant Fellowship Global (KoPCF) under the leadership of Apostle William M. Dawson, Presiding Prelate. She serves as the Assistant Prelate, the Convener of the Apostolic Council, and oversees the KoPCF Ambassador program.
Currently, she is the CEO of BMA Resources, LLC (consulting business) and the Chief Encouraging Officer of Brenda Alton Ministries (BAM!). As the first in her family to go to college, she is a graduate of Bradford Business School, Virginia Union University, Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology (M.Div.), Kingdom University (certificate), Primus University of Theology (D.Min.), (formerly Phoenix University of Theology) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (PhD.).
Currently, she is the Director, Community Relations/Spiritual Care, and a Chaplain for UPMC in Central Pa., sits on numerous boards, and has received numerous awards and honors.
She is supported by her loving husband, Thomas Alton, and she treasures her blended family of 7 children, 12 grandchildren, and a pet boxer.
Dr. Brenda Alton walks in the hope of Jeremiah 29:11, loves God and God’s people, and believes leaving a legacy is more important than becoming a legend.
